With four unique personality Avatars, Cue is a comedian trapped inside a robot’s body. Cue can chat with campers about books or tell them jokes and has a vocabulary of over 170,000 words and 30,000 text responses. Campers will delve deeper into coding by using both block based and JavaScript code to design tasks and games for Cue to complete and will begin to identif12y differences and similarities between block based and JavaScript code. They’ll generate ideas, create prototypes, test solutions and improve their designs for a variety of exciting gaming and innovation projects using sequences, events, loops, variables, functions conditionals and arrays, and complete in app challenges and adventures along the way.

Minecraft™ has taken the world by storm with its block-building, digital game design that allows players to build, explore, create, collaborate, and even survive. With no set rules, you can build anything you can possibly imagine. During this 5-day adventure, campers will learn different modes of playing. They will use cool mods as they escape monsters, build amazing structures, create maps, mine the world under their feet, climb the tallest mountains, and utilize robotic “turtles” to manipulate the vast world around them. They will learn real coding techniques to program their turtles to accomplish tasks while working as a team with other campers to unleash their creativity! Campers take on the real-world jobs of programmer, game designer, artist, and architect. All campers ARE REQUIRED to have a Minecraft™ account for this camp. Purchase a Minecraft account (Minecraft Java Edition (PC & Mac) ($26.95) at Campers must check in on the first day with their login credentials for Minecraft to ensure a streamlined learning experience.

Minecraft™ Modding: (Ages 8-14)

Cost: $250/5-day camp :: $215/4-day camp. (NOT for beginners, must be experienced with Minecraft.) Programming is power!
